Out of hours care for patients registered with our practice is provided by Vets Now, Tunbridge Wells. They provide a high level of expertise in accident and emergency care with extensive specialist equipment on site so comprehensive care can be provided for even the most complicated cases at any time of the night.

Ensuring the availability of emergency veterinary care for patients out of hours is an important responsibilty for every practice. Traditionally, vets and GP’s have tried to provide this out of hours care themselves in addition to being at the practice during normal opening hours. This high aspiration has proved to be unsustainable for most doctors and vets because the lack of sleep and rest leaves them exhausted the following day. Within the veterinary profession, most practices have made arrangements for their patients to have access to dedicated out of hours care providers to help provide care for emergency patients out of hours.

To this end, we have agreed with Vets Now that they will be available to provide care for our patients out of hours. To access this service out of hours, simply telephone us on the usual number and the answer machine will give you their phone number to call. They have staff on the premises all night, but please telephone them first to let them know you need help, advice or emergency care.
