Find out more about us and how Blackberry Veterinary Clinic in Lingfield came to be
Blackberry Veterinary Clinic was created with a single purpose: To provide the best veterinary care at all times using the very lastest equipment in a friendly and supportive setting.
Nico Maritz moved from Oxted to Lingfield in 2002 and founded Blackberry Veterinary Clinic. He took three months off being a vet and literally built the practice with his own two hands. The practice opened in October 2002 with Melissa Capsey and Valerie Walton working as nurses and receptionist by his side.
We understand that pets are important members of your family and our promise to you is that they will be cared for as if they were members of our family too. We understand the stress and anxiety experienced when your pets are ill or injured and we are committed to helping you and your family during the good times and the difficult times. We are constantly upgrading our facilites and have a policy of ongoing staff training to ensure we always offer the highest standards our profession has to offer.
We are always ready to discuss any concerns regarding your pet's care, please get in touch if you feel that we might be able to help.
We believe that continuity of care is vital to the welfare and happiness of our clients and their pets and we encourage the concept of clients choosing which vet they want to see for the care of their pets.
The practice is small enough to offer this very personal service so that clients are able to see the vet of their choice, yet large enough to have the high level of expertise, equipment and skills that sets us a part.
The mission of our practice is to be an excellent, local and friendly practice for our local community, staffed by members of our community. Our focus is primarily to be the first port of call for the care of our pets in the community, however we are also frequently asked to see cases as second opinions.
In addition to the extensive range of services we can provide, we also have longstanding relationships in place with a wide range of specialist referral centres should patients need to be referred for specialist care.
